South Bend, Indiana (SBN).  Google map travel time to RedBud: 23 minutes.
This is the ultimate airport to use!  However, connecting flights can be expensive.  If you have bonus miles, a ticket from Chicago or Detroit to South Bend might be a great use for those.  South Bend is on Eastern time, same as RedBud.

Chicago, Illinois O’Hare (ORD).  Google map travel time to RedBud: 2 hours, 10 minutes with no traffic problems.
Chicago Midway (MDW).  Google map travel time to RedBud: 1 hour, 48 minutes with no traffic problems.
Lots of flight options here, but keep a few things in mind:
1. Friday afternoon/evening traffic from O’Hare to Michigan is bad, especially on a holiday weekend.  Try to arrive early in the day, or consider another airport.
2. Likewise, Sunday afternoon/evening traffic from Michigan to Chicago is heavy.
3. Keep in mind that Chicago is on Central time and Michigan is on Eastern.  It doesn’t matter what time of year, we’re an hour ahead of Chicago.

Detroit, Michigan (DTW).  Google map travel time to RedBud: 2 hours, 50 minutes, which is pretty consistent.
If you’re flying in on a Friday afternoon and the connection to South Bend is too pricy, it’s worth your time to check fares in Detroit.
