36th ANNUAL THROTTLE JOCKEY GRASS RACE

REMINDERS…

    1. Sunday is an AMA sanctioned event; membership is required.  You can join online HERE, or you can buy a $20 weekend membership at the track.  (You won’t be able to sign up online until you join.)
    2. Best Halloween/Fall Themed Campsite Contest! 
    3. No Pit Bikes! Adults (age 18 & up) may use golf carts or side-by-sides for transportation to and from the track.

 

SATURDAY OPEN RIDING – BIG TRACK & 50 TRACK OPEN

*The Grass Track is only open for Sunday’s race. Open riding will take place as usual.

Big Track:  65cc and up bikes.  Riding Time 11am – 5pm.
50 Track: All 50cc bikes; beginners on 65s, 85s  or 4-stroke trail bikes.
50 Track riding time 11:30am to 4:30pm.

Groups will be posted at Registration and at Staging at both tracks.

XRs: If registered for the Sunday XR Race(s), you can SIGN UP to practice on the 50 track from 4:30 to 5:00pm.

Trick-or-Treating: 5:30pm.


SUNDAY RACING – BIKES ONLY

         GRASS TRACK: 65cc & up bike classes, plus 50cc Jr. & Sr. classes.
         50 TRACK: 50cc Wobbler, 50 Trail, 50 SS, 50 Jr. 4-6, 50 Sr. 7-8, 50 Open, 65 Beginner, Trailblazer.

         XR classes race one moto each on the 50 track during Grass Track intermission.

Sunday practice starts at 8:30am with racing immediately following.  Don’t be late to signup!  Daylight is short this time of year. You must be signed up before you practice, including XR riders!

 

GATE INFORMATION

Gates open at 6pm on Friday, October 17. Once it opens, it’s open all weekend, including overnights.  All racers, and all other attendees age 12 and up, need a wristband.

.Saturday 6am – 3pm | $30 | Wristbands good through Sunday.

.Saturday 3pm – Sunday 6am | $30 | Wristbands good through Sunday.

 *Leaving after Open Riding?  KEEP YOUR WRISTBANDS ON!  Stop at the gate on your way out by 8pm   and get a $20 refund on Friday and Saturday wristbands

Why sign up online?

    • No releases or paperwork at signup.
    • Both parents must sign a release (per insurance requirements). You can do that easily online by entering each parent’s email address and following the email instructions.
    • If you sign up at the track, we’ll need BOTH parents to complete a Minor Waiver.

SATURDAY REG

Open Riding Signup and Check-In opens at 9am.  $40 per group.

Big Track Groups: Vet Racers, A/B class racers, C racers & beginners, Minibikes (65cc & up). 50 Track Groups:.  Groups will be split as needed at the 50 track, depending on the number of 50s, 65s, 85s, and small trail bikes.

Grass Race Signup and Check-In : 12pm – 6pm.

SUNDAY REG

Registration opens at 7am. Don’t be late!  Practice starts at 8:30. $45 class entry fee.

Transponder rental $10 per racer (not per class).  Pick up at the MMXT trailer behind the signup building before you come to a window to register or check in.

Cash or Credit Cards accepted for signup and transponder rental; bring a credit card for transponder security deposit.

    • 50 Track
      • 50cc Wobbler 4-8 – Beginner class; any 50cc bike is OK
      • 50 Trail 4-8 Ltd.  /  50 SS 4-8 Ltd. – both classes are open to PWs and Hondas (shifters removed), KTM Mini Adventures, and other smaller 50s, especially the old models.
      • 50 Open 4-8 – includes E50s.
      • 65 Beginner & 85 Beginner – for kids who don’t want to race on the big track, are learning to shift, etc.
      • Trailblazer – for kids who don’t want to race on the big track, with 4 stroke trail bikes (typically 110s).
    • Grass Track
      • 50 Jr./Sr.
      • 65 Jr 7-9, 65 Sr 10-11, 65 Open 7-11
      • 85 Jr 9-11, 85 Sr 12-15, 85 Open 9-15, 85C 9-15 (all but 85 Jr allow 150cc 4-strokes with minibike wheels)
      • Girls 9-15, Schoolboy 1 12-17, Schoolboy 2 12-17, Women 12 & up
      • 125 B/C, 250 A, 250 B, 250 C, Open A, Open B, Open C
      • *BEGINNER CLASSES: Open D, VetSport 25+ NOVICE
      • 14+, 30+, 35+, 40+, 50+, 60+
      • 30+ B/C, 40+ B/C, 50+ B/C
      • NonCurrent (10 years or older model) – 125cc & up
      • Retro (1999 model year or older) – 125cc & up

XR 75 & 80 RACING

The halftime XR Championship races are part of the rich tradition of the Grass Race, honoring the minibike that changed everything, and the racers dedicated to keeping them alive and running!   Minimum age 18 to enter.

ALL XR Classes:

    • Minibike wheels only. 14″ or 16″ rear / 17″ or 19″ front wheels.
    • Minimum age 18 to enter.
    • $25 Entry fee.  No transponder needed; PUT SOME GOOD NUMBERS ON YOUR BIKE!! 
  1. HONDA XR 75/80 Twin Shock Class: Honda XR 75 or 80, twin shock. Engine mods are legal but it must be a correct Honda XR 75 or 80 engine (cases & cylinder).
  2. HONDA XR 75/80 Single Shock Class: Honda XR or CRF 80, single shock. Engine mods are legal but it must be a correct Honda XR or CRF 80 engine (cases & cylinder).
  3. HONDA XR Open Class: Honda XR or CRF 75/80/100 with correct frame, wheels and engine (cases & cylinder) and wheels.  Bored out and ported cams, larger carb and ignition upgrades are legal.
