Weekend Race Info

This event is open to all racers, from all states!

Saturday and Sunday are separate events; 2-moto race format each day.  You can race either day, or both days.  Saturday pays normal D14 points; Sunday pays D14 Michigan State Championship points.

All D14 bike classes both days, plus track classes (Open D, Wobbler, 65 Beginner, 85 Beginner, Trailblazer, etc.) both days.

Manufacturer contingency from: HUSQVARNA, KTM, HONDA, SUZUKI

A 50cc Jr./Sr. moto and 50cc 4-8 Open moto will race on the big track (minus LaRocco’s Leap), weather permitting.  A 50cc Open 4-8 (non-points) class, as well as all the usual classes will race on the 50 Track.

Sorry, no ATV classes on State Championship weekend.

Gate Hours and Prices

Gate opens at 6pm Friday and stays open all weekend, including overnights.

You can pull into the lanes and wait as early as 5:30pm, but please don’t park on the shoulder of Red Bud Trail!
There are No Parking signs posted. Rigs parked on the shoulder make us very unpopular with our neighbors, Buchanan Twp and the police!

Gate fee for all racers, and for spectators age 12 & up:

Friday 6pm until Saturday 6am | $35 for a weekend wristband
Keep your wristband on! If you leave Saturday by 7pm, stop at the gate and get a $15 refund per wristband.

Saturday 6am until 3pm | $30 for a weekend wristband

Saturday 3pm until Sunday 6am | $20

Sunday 6am | $15

Cash & credit cards accepted at gate and registration.

Registration Info

RIDERS UNDER AGE 18: BOTH PARENTS MUST SIGN CONSENT FORMS!

Three ways to handle the required Minor Consent form:

  1. Register online for each event!  The first parent will start the process.  Emails will be sent to both parents and registration will be complete once both have responded to the emails.
  2. If you don’t register online, you can use this SmartWaiver link for both parents to give consent. The first parent will start the process and we’ll receive confirmation once both parents have finished.
  3. If you don’t use Option 1 or 2 above, both parents or a legal guardian (with notarized documentation) MUST come to registration to complete forms.

ONLINE: $40 per class (per day) We urge you to register online. Your wait at the track will be shorter!

AT THE TRACK: $45 per class (per day)

Cash & credit cards are accepted at registration.

Transponder scoring both days on the big track.  Transponders can be reserved online in advance for $5 (see link when you register).   You only need to reserve ONE for the weekend.  If you have your own transponder, please bring it (or the number) to registration with you.

Pick up your transponder BEFORE YOU GET IN LINE FOR SIGNUP at the red trailer behind the registraiton building.  You’ll need a credit card for  security deposit if you didn’t reserve one online.

Memberships Required

All riders must have a current AMA membership; Michigan residents are required to have a District 14 membership.  Please join or renew online if needed:

JOIN OR RENEW AMA!  You’ll be able to use online registration shortly after renewing or joining.
JOIN OR RENEW DISTRICT 14!  Bring your printed receipt or show it on your phone at Registration.

Please note: online timing and scoring finishes are NOT OFFICIAL!  Manual changes are not reflected in online results. These could be due to a transponder falling off or malfunctioning, penalties assessed, etc.  Riders should always check official results at Registration!

Practice starts at 9am each day, with racing immediately following (usually starting between 10:30 and 11:00am).

Track Rules & Info

 

PIT VEHICLES are for ages 18 & up.  They’re for transportation, not entertainment for the weekend.  Park outside tunnels; no pit vehicles on the infield.
PIT VEHICLE HOURS THIS WEEKEND: 7am – 8:30pm Saturday and Sunday.  NO PIT VEHICLES FRIDAY.
You can walk the racetreack  in the evenings after all track activity is finished.  Equipment will be on the track; an adult should accompany children.  No bicycles inside the track fence.
PETS are welcome on a leash, or tethered in your camp site.  Please clean up after your pet.
BICYCLES are welcome, just not inside the track fence.
WATER FILL stations are located in several locations.  You can travel with empty fresh water and fill when you get here.  Please fill and disconnect; there are no hookups on site.
BIKE WASH is located along the tree line just inside Gate 6, across the road from the 50 track and along the west tree line inside the fence.  You don’t have to live in muddy pits for the weekend; there’s room for everyone!  Hoses are provided; byo power washer.
SECURITY staff members are off-duty police officers. They represent RedBud and may ask you to adjust behavior on our behalf.  They’re friendly and helpful; Don’t hesitate to ask for assistance if you need anything.
