RACING AND QUALIFYING INFORMATION
- YOU MUST RACE A MIDEAST AREA QUALIFIER IN ORDER TO ENTER THIS EVENT!
- You must register your class(es) with MX Sports online; the entry fee is an administrative fee for participating at the Regional level.
- Your entry fee online does not go to the track. You must register and pay for practice and racing at the track.
- The top 9 in each class advance from each Area Qualifier to this Regional.
- If you didn’t finish in the top 9, OR if you didn’t register on time with MX Sports, you’ll be an alternate at the RedBud Regional.
- Alternates are placed according to power ranking; the more riders you beat at the Area Qualifier, the higher your power ranking. Riders who earned a qualifying position but didn’t enter with MX Sports will be the first alternates.
- Alternates may register and practice at the track. We place alternates during practice; come to signup after practice to see if you made it in. If you don’t get to race, your track entry fee will be refunded.
- There will likely be qualifiers in your class!
- 8 Area Qualifiers x 9 riders per class = 72 possible entries in each class.
- All classes with over 40 entries will be split into 2 Qualifiers.
- If you advance from the Qualifier, your next race will be Moto 2; if not, you can ride the LCQ (Last Chance Qualifier).
- Either your Qualifier or LCQ finish counts as your first moto finish. See MX Sports Rules for LCQ procedures and scoring.
- We will finish all of the first set of motos and qualifiers Saturday and go directly into LCQs.
- If possible, we’ll start the second set of motos Saturday. A stopping point will be determined and announced Saturday afternoon; racing will start Sunday where we left off.
