Most of all, thanks to Jeff Stanton, who had a certain gleam in his eye when he heard about a 2-stroke race. It was Jeff who invited Ricky to ride, and it all fell into place from there. Any lineup that starts with Stanton and Carmichael is bound to be something special, and it was.

Some of you guys have racing days left ahead of you. For the rest, it was our privilege to see you ride one more time.
